Jetfolio Privacy Policy

Jetfolio ("Jetfolio," "we," "us," or "our") is a travel itinerary app published by STX & Stones. This policy explains what information Jetfolio collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. By using Jetfolio, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Trip and itinerary data
Information you enter or import to build your itineraries, including trip names, destinations, dates, flights, hotels, activities, confirmation numbers, notes, and any photos you attach to a booking (e.g. a screenshot of a confirmation).
Camera, photo library, and calendar access
If you grant permission, Jetfolio can access your camera or photo library so you can attach a photo of a booking confirmation, and can access your device calendar so you can add itinerary items to it. These permissions are optional and only used for the specific action you initiate.
Connected email accounts (Gmail)
If you choose to link a Gmail account, Jetfolio requests read-only access to your Gmail (the gmail.readonly scope) so it can search for and read messages that look like travel booking confirmations, and automatically add them to your itinerary. Jetfolio does not send email, delete email, or modify your mailbox in any way. You can unlink a connected account at any time in Settings, which stops all further access.
Usage and device information
Standard technical information such as device type, app version, and crash/error logs, used to keep the app working correctly.
How We Use Your Information
- To build, display, and sync your trip itineraries across your devices
- To extract structured booking details (dates, times, confirmation numbers, etc.) from text or emails you provide, using an AI service (see "Third-Party Services" below)
- To show relevant weather forecasts and nearby events for your trip dates and destination
- To send you notifications you've opted into (e.g. upcoming itinerary reminders)
- To maintain, secure, and improve the app
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Google User Data
Jetfolio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used solely to identify and import travel booking confirmations into your own itinerary and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Third-Party Services
Jetfolio relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each processes only the information necessary to perform its function:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes booking text/emails you provide to extract structured itinerary details
- Google — account sign-in and, if you opt in, read-only Gmail access as described above
- Weather and events data providers — queried with your trip's destination and dates to show relevant forecasts and nearby events; not given any personal or account information
- Railway — our cloud hosting provider, which stores app data in a secured database
- Apple / Expo — push notification delivery and app distribution infrastructure
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect a linked email account at any time in Settings. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at the address below and we'll process your request promptly.
Data Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and hashed passwords — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.
Children's Privacy
Jetfolio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
